Description: This clip point skinner by Raymond Richard has an ageless sense of grace that is rarely found in knives by other makers. The blade was forged to shape from a section of lumber mill saw. A differential heat treatment assures that the spine is soft and resilient, whereas the edge is hard and will maintain a keen edge. The blade has been antiqued for an heirloom appearance.
The wrought iron for the fittings were forged from an 1800s era anchor chain. Black tail deer crown forms the handle -- resulting in a very secure hand-hold. The crown is finished off with a wrought iron butt cap and loop.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
