Description: Ron Best creates a dramatic knife -- with a strong emphasis on integrals. This technique shows tremendous control -- the steel parts, from blade to guard and handle are all made from one piece of steel.
The grind lines are very clear and well performed. The hollow ground blade will have a strong edge that is easy to maintain. The upswept blade features a false edge that has been brought just short of being fully sharpened. The blade has been meticulously hand satin finished. The integral 440C stainless steel handle has been sculpted and meticulously inlaid with pre-ban ivory. The steel throughout the handle has been lavishly engraved by Jere Davidson. The engraving throughout is extremely detailed and brings tremendous interest to the knife. The knife balances comfortably in the hand. Exceptional fit and finish throughout on a very captivating, elegant knife.
