Description: The Jumpmaster is one of the rarest knives ever made by Chris Reeve Knives -- in fact most people have never heard of it. Bill Harsey and Chris Reeve explored the features that would make the ultimate Jumpmaster's tool and in this 2nd generation prototype, they came pretty darn close! 22 prototypes were made. Each features the original signatures of both Bill Harsey and Chris Reeves. The prototypes were completed in February of 2004. This one is in original box and has the original information sheets. It is in new condition.
Harsey and Reeve developed a new serration for these knives. The Kubili serrations (a Zulu word for double) are cut on both sides of the blade, to provide a more aggressive cut through cord, harness material and rope. S30V stainless steel assures a keen, long lasting edge. The tactical blade is coated with gun metal blue KG Gunkote. Gray canvas Micarta handles have been sculpted for a sure grip and are attached with gun metal coated stainless steel pins and screws. Accompanied by a Blackhawk Airborne Deluxe Sheath.
