The fossil mammoth tooth scales meet in an elegant arc to the Gibeon Meteorite bolsters. The mammoth tooth combines caramel and green tones. The bolsters are made from Gibeon Meteorite that landed in Great Namaqualand, Namibia, Africa. It radio carbon dates to over 4 billion years ago. The Gibeon fragments are spread over one of the largest strewn fields in the world, measuring 70 miles wide by 230 miles long and have a distinctive pattern known as the Widmanstatten pattern, which is one of the richest and most distinct patterns found in meteorites. Because meteorite can no longer be taken out of Namibia, this rare material has become all the more difficult to come by.
Blue anodized titanium liners are meticulously fileworked. The backbar and spine have both been hand fileworked. The interior of the liners have been mirror polished. A citrine gemstone is set in the backbar. Exceptional work throughout.
