Description: Corrie's knives are some of the most spectacular and highest quality work coming out of South Africa. His designs are original and the implementation superb.
N'Able II has a futuristic appearance, resulting from broad geometric lines. The tanto style blade has been hollow ground and has very dramatic grind lines. It is formed from spirograph patterned Damascus by Ettoré Gianferarri. Gianferarri's Damascus is forged in small runs such that the patterns are rarely repeated. The bolsters were cast by South African bladesmith Bertie Rietveld and have a convoluted, appealing appearance to the surface. He calls this his "Elephant Skin" pattern.
The mammoth tooth scales, with its dramatic striations, are much prized. Alternating dark and light layers immediately captivate attention and uniquely identify this material. The titanium backbar has been fileworked and inset with a citrine. A second citrine has been set in the thumb stud. The anodized titanium liners have been accented with filework and are overlaid with textured titanium. Smooth action with a well centered blade. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
