Description: Mastersmith PJ Tomes is best known for his knives that are styled after the knives of William Scagel (one of the best known makers of the early 20th century). This exceptional version of his Model 1 Scagel Style Hunter is among my favorite knives from PJ to date. The fit throughout is excellent, from the engraved guard to the fossil walrus ivory handle material. The sculpted ivory results in a particularly comfortable handle. 52100 has long been a favorite carbon steels among bladesmiths and enthusiasts alike due to its spectacular edge retention. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
