Description: Mastersmith Kevin Harvey creates knives with a flair that is truly unique. His sense of design is spectacular and only matched by his skill of implementation.
The blade on this drop point hunter was forged to shape from O1 carbon steel and differentially heat treated using the traditional Japanese clay zone method. This technique, borrowed from Japanese swordsmiths, results in a soft, supportive spine, with a keen, long lasting edge. The bolster is integral, showing tremendous skill at the forge.
The handle is formed from warthog tusk. A jet black buffalo horn ferrule and pommel nicely contrast against the warthog tusk. The bolster, spine, and rear spacer have all been meticulously scroll engraved by Mastersmith Harvey.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
