Description: As a protégé of Roger Bergh, Micke Andersson's work is exceptional and innovative. A joint creation with Birger, Per-Erik, and Isak Bergh, Time in Steel brings forged Damascus steels to precision clock building. The clockwork is Swiss movement Caliber ETA 6497-1, the most sturdy and accurate of today's modern manual wind timepieces, it is fast becoming the industry standard. The movement is augmented with gold plated details -- all made by hand. The movement’s function is hand wound and features a 56 hour run time. It features an hour, minute, and second hand.
The inset dial is random pattern Damascus with 18k gold hour index marks and a matching ring on the inside of the dial. The backside crystal is scratch proof Sapphire, with slightly domed imitation crystal on the face side.
The inner casing is a blued twist and random pattern Damascus. The outer casing is formed from matching Damascus and was forged to shape with a sculpted wind knob. The decorative knife handle is Mammoth ivory with 18k gold rivets. The desert ironwood base was meticulously carved by Isak Bergh.
