Description: Collectors of Anders' work know that he has some of the tightest tolerances of any maker, anywhere. Anders excels in creating a fusion of Japanese and Nordic styles. The guard is cast from sterling silver, textured and antiqued. By casting, he is able to create fittings that integrate into the dagger, creating a true masterwork. The hamon (temper lines) created by Anders' clay heat treat process makes a knife that has excellent edge retention, while also having the support of a softer central core. The double hamon is created by the differential hardness of the blade and is particularly difficult to achieve, showing tremendous control. The handle is formed from fossil walrus ivory and has a caramel tone throughout. A spacer formed from ebony nicely completes the knife. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
