Description: The theme begins with heat blued Gibeon meteorite scales. The Gibeon meteorite landed in Great Namaqualand, Namibia, Africa and radio carbon dates to over 4 billion years old. Its fragments are spread over one of the largest strewn fields in the world, measuring 70 miles wide by 230 miles long and have a distinctive pattern known as the Widmanstatten pattern, which is one of the richest and most distinct patterns found in meteorites.
The meteorite has been heat colored, etched to review the pattern hidden within. The top half of the meteorite was resisted prior to etching to look like the Northern Lights. Eighteen .01 carat VS grade diamonds are set in 14k white gold, forming stars in the sky.
The mirror polished, heat colored mosaic Damascus blade was forged from several different types of carbon steel along with pure nickel so as to have several different tones of blue, purple and silver. It has amongst the smoothest action of any blade that I have ever felt. It is perfectly centered and is easily opened using the ruby thumb stud (set in 18 kt gold).
15N20 carbon steel liners have been fileworked and heat colored. These surround the fileworked heat blued 1084 carbon steel backbar. The screws are fileworked and heat colored. The interior is mirror polished and has been fully detailed. Exceptional!
