Bolster: Mammoth ivory
Handle: Mammoth ivory with stabilized masur birch and nickel silver fileworked spacers
Sheath: Traditional Swedish leather sheath
Description: Greger Forselius has a tremendous sense of design. This handle on this Swedish Puukko has been dramatically sculpted. The resulting shape is well rounded, fitting securely and comfortably in the hand. The mosaic Damascus blade has been heat blued for excellent contrast. Highly complex mosaic Damascus patterns in the central bar are surrounded by twist pattern Damascus forged from 20C and 15N20 carbon steels. This choice of steels assures a keen, long lasting edge.
The front 'bolster' is formed from caramel toned mammoth ivory. Cream toned mammoth ivory on the spacer and pommel provides excellent contrast. Central sections of masur birch are stabilized and bring in warm tones. Nickel silver spacers have been fileworked. The mammoth ivory pommel has been sculpted and provides a stop point so that the knife cannot slip out of the hand. Excellent work throughout!
