Description: The sturdy D2 carbon steel blade is fileworked in the vine pattern and has a tapered tang. A cryogenic heat treat makes the blade have a particularly aggressive edge that will hold its sharpness. D2 has nearly enough chromium to be considered a stainless steel, but takes an incredible edge rarely found in stainless steels. The polished sheep horn scales are very dramatic and have a translucent effect. They are well accented by the buffalo horn, brass, and black liners (which allow the knife to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The knife fits very well in the hand. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
