Description: Raymond Richard's designs have a timeless grace about them that comes from a family heritage of knifemaking and the inclusion of hard to find materials.
The blade of this upswept knife was forged from water hardened W5 tool steel. The carbon steel blade was satin finished and antiqued. The differential temper line is clearly visible on the blade, resulting in an edge that is extremely hard and will stay sharp through extended use, whereas the spine is softer and supportive.
The guard and butt are forged from wrought iron. The wrought iron has a Damascene pattern and has been carved and shaped to perfection. A hammered finish on the S shaped guard highly accentuates the knife’s rustic feel. The curly maple handle is comfortable in the hand and has warm tones with a shimmering grain structure. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
