Description: Wild Woman pendant depicting the Northwest Native American mythical being of the same name. The pendant is created in Tom's "floating treasure" style. A moose antler "bowl" was meticulous hand carved. The mythic face was sculpted from English boxwood and was polygraphed and polychromed for incredible detail. The right eye is double inlaid with fossil ivory and ebony. This eye shows the strongest evidence of Tom's experience with netsuke (small sculptural objects, or toggles, usually worn to suspend objects hung from the sash of the kimono). The fossil ivory eyes are slightly translucent, surrounding the ebony pupil with a very lifelike appearance. The left is inlaid with abalone. Accompanied by 23 inch linen necklace with antler closure.
