Description: Corry's knives are some of the most spectacular and highest quality work coming out of South Africa. By paying attention to every detail his designs are original and the implementation superb.
The Damascus used on this blade is forged by Ettoré Gianferarri in South Africa. At first impression, the Damascus appears a fairly simple random pattern. Upon closer inspection, the Damascus features intricate chains traveling across a charcoal black background. You are unlikely to see this Damascus anywhere else. The blade has smooth action and is easily opened using the ruby thumb stud.
A matching ruby is inlaid into the titanium backbar. The fossil mammoth ivory scales meet in an elegant arc to textured bronze bolsters that were cast by South African knifemaker, Bertie Rietvelt. The mammoth ivory is burnt cream toned with darker rivers. Blue anodized titanium liners are meticulously fileworked. The backbar and spine have both been fileworked in a matching pattern. The interior of the liners have been mirror polished. Decorative fileworked screws. Silky smooth action and a perfectly centered blade.
