Description: To get the striking pattern on the blade of this exquisite piece, Kevin took Heather's Damascus, coated it in Brownell's black baking lacquer and then polished off the high spots. The guard is hand forged from an old ox-wagon wheel rim found on Kevin and Heather's smallholding in South Africa. The two coins used on the sheath are antique 6 pence and one penny coins from Southern Rhodesia. The medallion is Kevin's ABS Journeyman Smith silver medallion. The Young Prince's Sword won finest fighting knife at the 2001 South African Guild Show.
