Description: Swedish knifemaker Greger Forselius has a sense of design rarely found elsewhere and this hunter is among my favorite knives by him to date. The stacked handle is formed from stabilized California buckeye burl and extremely rare musk ox horn. The front bolster is formed from fossil walrus ivory. Red fiber spacers allow the handle to adjust to variation in temperature and humidity. The handle has been nicely sculpted so as to provide a sure, comfortable hand-hold. The bar stock for the blade was forged by Swedish bladesmith Mattias Styrefors using 15N20 and 20C carbon steels. This Damascus will have exceptional edge holding. The blade was ground by Greger and nicely shows off the Damascus pattern. The spine has been fileworked for a secure thumb purchase. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
