Description: Echoes of Native American art are present in this exciting new piece by Jeff Driscoll. With over 400 hours of meticulous work, it is no surprise that this majestic creation is exceptional.
Seahorse evokes the sea and spirit worlds through the deeply sculpted African blackwood handle and sheath with converging points and lines defined by 264 separate fine silver wire and nickel silver pin inlays. The back of the sheath is highlighted by a fine silver fin which gives the piece motion and also supports the knife in the stand via a fileworked nickel silver tuning fork rod. The fileworked brass base of the stand reflects the brass backstrap on the outstanding hot blued San Mai nickel stripe blade by the renowned Danish smith Poul Strande. Accompanied by fileworked brass and nickel silver stand.
Exceptional work throughout!
