Description: This integral was forged using 1 1/4" round virgin 52100 carbon steel. It has been carefully forged and heat treated using controlled heats to give it the performance that has made 52100 a favorite steel among makers and collectors. It has bee triple quenched and triple tempered. This steel has become well known through makers such as Ed Fowler and Bill Burke and results in some of the highest performance knives found anywhere.
The tang is hidden and continuous through the handle and is drilled and tapped to the fileworked stainless steel pommel. This construction is extremely strong. The handle material is a beautiful piece of stabilized box elder burl. The sheath is all hand sewn and was wet fitted to the knife to give it a snug fit. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
This knife was featured on page 112 of Knives 2007.
