Description: This mosaic fighter was forged from a mix of carbon steels for a high contrast Damascus, while avoiding pure nickel for exceptional edge holding. The main part of the blade was forged from powdered metals. The 15 layer linear Damascus cutting edge was forged from 1090 and 15N20 bar stock. The tang is continuous through the African blackwood handle and is drilled and tapped to the nickel silver pommel.
The Che chen wood sheath is precision fit to the blade. It has a nickel silver throat, frog and pins. 280 nickel silver pins decorate the handle and sheath with stars. Exceptional work throughout!
This knife was featured on page 170 of Knives 2007.
