Description: Roger Bergh's knives have a feel all of their own. The Damascus blade was forged from 15N20 and 20C carbon steels and will have exceptional edge holding. Linear lines converge toward the tip, showing the blade was forged to shape. The stacked handle combines sallow (willow) burl with a central cross cut section of fossil walrus ivory and desert ironwood accents. By cross cutting the walrus ivory, Roger reveals the delicate grain structure inherent to the ivory -- a central core radiates out through caramel tones. The sallow burl has rich tones and a swirling grain structure and is nicely accented by both ivory and ironwood. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
