Description: Another in the "Ugly Fish" series of knives, the Angler Fish Dagger is carved from Alaskan moose antler with fossil ivory teeth. The eyes have been double inlaid using fossil ivory and ebony for a very life-like appearance. The carving is tremendously detailed, showing off gills, fins and sharp fossil ivory teeth. The heat treated Battle Mountain (Nevada) chalcedony blade is high quality percussion flaked. Accompanied by black walnut and elk antler display stand.
The team of Tom Sterling and JP Higgins is a formidable force. Joe Higgins, who has been flint knapping knives for over 10 years, created the blade of this masterpiece with precision. This skill is matched in the detailed handle created by Tom Sterling, who has brought his attention to detail learned as an internationally known netsuke artist to this piece.
