Description: The team of Tom Sterling and JP Higgins is a formidable force. Joe Higgins, who has been flint knapping knives for over 10 years, created the blade of this masterpiece with precision. This skill is matched in the detailed handle created by Tom Sterling, who has brought his attention to detail learned as an internationally known netsuke artist to this piece.
The neck sheath formed from rawhide and buckskin. An antler has been carved into a deep sea angler fish (hence "Ugly Fish"!). The eyes have been double inlaid using fossil ivory and ebony for a very realistic appearance. This exceptional neck knife features a blade pressure flakes from high quality "peach" obsidian. The handle is formed from cow horn surrounded by black walnut and desert ironwood. Exceptional work throughout.
