Description: Mastersmith Hank Knickmeyer is well known for creating some of the most detailed and dramatic Damascus found anywhere. The sleek blade of Tip of the Tusk is formed from a three bar composite forged from carbon steels. The edge bars are twist pattern. The center of the blade is a complex mosaic of flowers and the occasional 'HK' (one of Hank's hallmarks). The Damascus is high contrast and could be inspected for hours!
The handle is formed from a fossil walrus tusk tip and has chocolate tones over burnt cream. The ferrule is formed from antiqued sterling silver. The handle is sculpted for a comfortable hand-hold. Exceptional work throughout.
