Description: Corrie designs a spectacular folder and pays attention to every detail. When this is combined with Damascus forged by Ettoré Gianferarri, the result is fantastic. Ettoré, a South African smith, makes his Damascus in extremely small runs. You are unlikely to see this Damascus anywhere else. The Damascus bolsters are exceptional, mixing highly complicated and bold patterns so that the star is both fascinating from a distance and up close. The Damascus used for the blade is deceptively simple. Upon closer examination, layers in the blade are formed from a complex network of interlocked chains. The blade has smooth action and is easily opened using the ruby thumb stud.
The fossil mammoth molar scales meet in an elegant arc to the Damascus bolsters. Mammoth molar, with its dramatic striations, is much prized. Alternating dark and light layers immediately captivate attention and uniquely identify this material. Blue anodized titanium liners are meticulously fileworked, as have the backbar and spine. The backbar has been inlaid with tritium. Tritium is a light emitting substance that glows in the dark. The interior of the liners have been mirror polished. A ruby gemstone is set in the thumb stud. Decorative pins. Silky smooth action and a well centered blade.
