Description: Journeyman Smith David Banks is a long time friend of Audra Draper. Starting making knives in 1993, he apprenticed under Mastersmith Ed Fowler with Mastersmith Audra Draper (then an apprentice). In fact, he recalled a story to me of when he was working in Ed Fowler's show and Audra came in for the first time. He assisted her in a jewelry project, which eventually got her interested in knifemaking.
This hunting utility is a great knife -- small enough to not get in the way, yet large enough to get the job done. The blade is forged from 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels for a long lasting edge. The elk antler handle provides a sure grip and is nicely finished off with a sheephorn butt cap. Nice work throughout!
