Description: Ron Best creates exquisitely dramatic knives with a heavy focus of fully integral work. This technique shows tremendous skill and control -- the steel parts, from blade to tang to double bolsters are all made from one piece of steel. The result is an exceptional knife.
The grind lines are very clear and well performed. The hollow ground blade will have a strong edge that is easy to maintain. The handle has been sculpted with perfect finger holds for a secure grip. Ironwood inlays are meticulously fitted to the solid steel frame. The balance point is in just behind the guard, making it sit very securely in the hand.
The handle has been exceptionally engraved by Jere Davidson and has tremendous detail. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
This knife was featured on page 154 of Knives 2007.
