Sheath: "Sami" style half horn sheath formed from leather and fossil mammoth ivory
Description: This Sami style knife and half horn sheath are modeled after the 19th century Sami hunting knives. The Damascus was forged by Nick Marcelja from carbon steels and was convex ground for a precision, long lasting edge. The handle is formed from stacked layers of fossil walrus ivory and fossil mammoth ivory for a very pleasing effect. The half horn sheath is formed from fossil mammoth ivory and has an upper leather section. Mosaic pins are used throughout. A central cutout in the sheath reveals the blade when contained. The leather upper has a single seam at the back. A hand forged hanger holds the belt loop to the sheath. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
