Description: Captain Koyama is an innovator at heart and action. His designs are well thought through and very creative.
Folding long blades were developed where a user wanted a longer blade, but didn't want the size of a fixed blade knife. The blade of this folding long blade was created using a san mi technique, whereby soft Damascus layers are forged to surround an extremely hard Cowry X stainless steel core. The result is an exceptionally keen, long lasting edge.
The giraffe bone handle meets perfectly to the Damascus bolsters. Thick blue anodized titanium liners make this a very strong knife. Gold anodized and fileworked titanium backbar.
This knife is very easily opened. When the closed knife is inserted into the lined Kydex sheath, the lanyard cord is pulled, both removing the knife from the sheath, and opening the knife at the same time. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
