Description: Swedish knifemaker Greger Forselius has developed a sense of style that is unique to him, while deriving strongly from his native Sweden. The stacked handle on this traditional Swedish puukko fits securely and comfortably in the hand. The main part of the handle is formed from stabilized masur birch with a central green dyed and stabilized section. A mosaic pin ornaments this section. From front 'bolster' and the top rare portion of the handle are formed from fossil mammoth ivory. The mammoth ivory nicely shows the grain structure inherent to the ivory. The top rear portion has been sculpted and is scrimshawed. Pewter spacers separate handle sections.
The long blade is formed from stainless Damascus by Damasteel. The pattern is immediately captivating and the blade will have exceptional edge holding. Excellent fit and finish throughout and one of the most impressive works by Greger Forselius to date!
