Description: Nico Pelzer's knives are a pleasure in the hand. The gently rounded surface of this small folder fits comfortably into the palm.
The high contrast blued Damascus blade was forged by Nico and is among his first complex mosaic patterns. Outlines of mammoths are forged into the blued steel, nicely reflecting the exhibition grade mammoth ivory scales. The bolsters are formed from Timascus. First created by a group which includes Tom Ferry, Timascus is a very light and durable "Damascus" created by forging different grades of Titanium. This can be heat blued to a spectacular array of colors. The Timascus nicely reflects the tones in the fossil mammoth ivory and blued steel. Exhibition mammoth ivory scales have been precision fit to the bolsters in an arc. Silky smooth action with great fit and finish. An exceptional theme knife!
