Description: Craig Camerer's Mammoth Ivory Mini Bowie is an exceptional knife. It is no surprise that he chose this one to be one of the five knives that he submitted to be judged on fit and finish for his Journeyman test June 2004. His artistry and level of craftsmanship easily carried him through as one of the most promising new journeymen this year. This knife as been in a single collection since it was made by Craig and it has never been sharpened or used to cut. It is in mint condition.
The clip point blade was forged to shape from W2 carbon steel and was given a hand rubbed satin finish. A differential heat treatment assures that the spine will be soft and supportive, whereas the edge is keen and long lasting. The guard was formed from mild steel and was heat colored to a deep purple. The full tang has been encased in nickel to protect the sides from skin oils. Exceptional fossil walrus ivory scales, mixing cream and caramel tones. Amazing work throughout!
