Description: Corry's knives, with their unique flair and sense of design, are some of the most spectacular work coming out of South Africa. The large flipper style blade is composed of a bold, swirling Damascus pattern which immediately pulls attention. The blade has been chisel ground -- hollow ground on the left and flat on the right.
The bolsters are made from Gibeon meteorite that landed in Great Namaqualand, Namibia, Africa. It carbon dates to over 4 billion years old. Gibeon meteorite fragments are spread over one of the largest strewn fields in the world, measuring 70 miles wide by 230 miles long and have a distinctive pattern known as the Widmanstatten pattern, which is one of the richest and most distinct patterns found in meteorites.
Gold lip mother of pearl scales sit on textured copper beryllium overlays and blue anodized titanium liners. The gold lip exceptional, with a full spectrum flash. The spine and backbar have also been fileworked. Well centered blade with smooth action. Accompanied by wood presentation box.
