Description: Mike Mann is a household name in re-creationist circles. His hand forged custom knives are created in his remote log home in the mountains of North Idaho.
This 1800's Era Bowie comes from an earlier era when every man had a knife by his side -- for protection and utility. The long blade has a sharpened clip. The grinds are satin finished, whereas the flats have been forge finished. This results in very dramatic grind lines. The spine, which measures just over 1/4 inch as it approaches the ricasso, is quite substantial. The full tang is also thick, bringing the weight back into the handle. Elk antler scales are very comfortable in the hand and provide a secure hold.
