Description: The unique L shaped blade of the Kukri has tremendous forward heft and moves through the air with grace. The Kukri, which was used in battle and the hunt by the Gurka people was worn proudly. They honor it as a special weapon which contains a spirit of its own.
The 5160 carbon steel blade was hand forged and antiqued for a timeless appearance. Forge marks were left on the blade toward the spine to continue this effect. A central ridge down the center of the spine creates a particularly elegant appearance. The brass guard and pommel create optimal balance and surround the African blackwood handle. The handle has a large swell at the center to meet the palm, then thinning and swelling again at both ends. This creates an extremely comfortable handle, with a very secure hold.
Excellent fit and finish throughout. Accompanied by certificate from the maker.
