Description: Corrie designs a spectacular folder and pays attention to every detail.
The Damascus used on this blade is forged by Ettoré Gianferarri in South Africa. It is made in extremely small runs. You are unlikely to see this Damascus anywhere else. The blade has smooth action and is easily opened using the ruby thumb stud.
The fossil mammoth ivory scales meet in an elegant arc to the Gibeon meteorite bolsters. The mammoth ivory is burnt cream toned with rivers of blue/green. The bolsters are made from Gibeon meteorite that landed in Great Namaqualand, Namibia, Africa. It carbon dates to over 4 billion years ago. The Gibeon fragments are spread over one of the largest strewn fields in the world, measuring 70 miles wide by 230 miles long and have a distinctive pattern known as the Widmanstatten pattern, which is one of the richest and most distinct patterns found in meteorites. Blue anodized titanium liners are meticulously fileworked. The backbar and spine have both been fileworked in a matching pattern. The interior of the liners have been mirror polished. A ruby gemstone is set in the thumb stud and on the backbar. Decorative pins. Silky smooth action and a perfectly centered blade.
