Description: Corry's knives are some of the most spectacular and highest quality work coming out of South Africa. His designs are original and the implementation superb.
D'Stroy, with its bull-nose shape blade, has a very appealing appearance. As appealing as the look is, the feel in the hand is even better!.
The Damascus used on the blade and bolsters was forged by Ettoré Gianferarri in South Africa and is a bold pattern from a distance, but upon closer examination, the Damascus is created with a spiderweb of highly detailed patterns that becomes all the more fascinating up close. The spine titanium has been fileworked and differentially anodized. The backbar has been inset with three rubies, whereas the thumbstud is inset with a single ruby.
Fossilize mammoth ivory scales are set on anodized titanium liners. The scales have been nicely sculpted and are set with detailed screws. Six pins highlight the drilled ornamentation on the liners, which are fully fileworked and mirror polished on the interior. Smooth, silky action with exceptional fit and finish.
