Description: The rifleman's knife was a 19th century standard. A great all-around design, McKee's version of it makes it clear why he well known in reenactment circles. Neil began with a W2 carbon steel file. He has left the file texture along the spine to an excellent effect. Toward the ricasso, the spine has been fileworked. The entirety has been satin finished antiqued. The elk handle provides a sure hand-hold and is nicely finished off with a fileworked antiqued end cap. Excellent work with a great fit and finish so as to feel at home either in a collection or out in the field.
