Description: A true one-of-a-kind, sole authorship dagger! This dagger has been in a single collection since it was first made by Mastersmith Bill Buxton in 2004. It has been meticulously cared for and is in new condition. By all appearances, it could have been made yesterday.
Bill's Damascus was forged to shape, taking extreme care not to distort the detailed mosaic pattern. The guard and pommel are made from the same mosaic billet as the blade, and the tang is continuous through the handle and threaded to the pommel.
The sheath is made from a very beautiful and unique piece of chechen wood. Gemsbok horn inlay was added, resulting in a beautifully matched knife and sheath set. Nickel silver pin work enhances both pieces and adds a nice finishing touch.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
