Description: Collectors of Anders' work know that he has some of the tightest tolerances of any maker, anywhere. Anders excels in creating a fusion of Japanese and Nordic styles. Anders cast the guard from sterling silver, then textured and antiqued the surface. By casting, he is able to create fittings that integrate into the dagger, creating a true masterwork. The hamon (temper lines) created by Anders' clay heat treat process makes a knife that has excellent edge retention, while also having the support of a softer central core. The fossil walrus ivory handle is exceptional, with burnt cream undertones and a chocolate surface tones. Exceptional work throughout.
This knife was featured on page 72 of Knives 2007.
