Description: Back around 1900, Winchester was making a hunter/skinner that was truly a great knife. Here, Mastersmith Daniel Winkler has created a reproduction of that knife using the diagrams is MH Cole's Book, "The Skinning Knife". The blade is forged by Daniel from L6 carbon steel. The flats have a hammer finish, whereas the remainder of the surface is darkened with an antiqued finish. The wooden handles were recovered from an original Winchester Hunter/Skinner and have three large brass rivets.
