Description: Jim's knives are as sturdy as they are elegant. A hunter himself, as well as a backwoodsman, his knives have been heavily tested in the field over the years yet are dramatic enough for any collection.
The long recurve blade is forged from a Damascus pattern that James calls Indian Twisted Braid. Bold Persian ribbons travel across a complex mosaic background. The Damascus mixes bold patterns that are apparent from a distance as well as detailed figures that only become clear with a close inspection.
The handle is sculpted from gemsbok horn. The horn has a gentle undulation a very secure and comfortable hold. The front spacer is created by combining braided copper and nickel silver. The butt and bolster are both formed from copper and bring in warm tones -- as well as providing an optimal balance in the hand. The fit and finish is excellent. Numbered C89.
