Description: More than any other maker, Roger Bergh creates knives that are unique and timeless. The blade on this Swedish hunter/fighter has a center bar forged from wrought iron recovered from an 1850's era wagon wheel. This is surrounded by stripes of pure nickel. The edge and spine are forged from firecracker pattern Damascus (forged from 15N20 and 20L carbon steels for optimal edge holding). The scales are formed from bark fossil mammoth ivory. They are predominantly cream toned with deep caramel tones on the surface. Black waterbuck horn encases the tang. The waterbuck "backbar" has been fileworked for a very pleasing feel in the hand. Exceptional work throughout.
