Description: The Ironwood Bowie features one of the nicest pieces of ironwood that I have seen. It truly makes this knife come to lie. Dark and light tones are combines in a swirling grain pattern. Warm reds predominate. The exceptional wood is combined with Damascus hardware and the wonderful performance that 52100 carbon steel has long been know for. A snake skin inlaid sheath completes that package.
The tang is continuous through the handle and is drilled and threaded to the Damascus pommel for a very strong construction. The blade was heat treated using a triple quench and triple temper -- pushing 52100 to its full edge holding ability. The differential heat treatment line is visible on the blade. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
