Description: Bowies of this magnitude are very rare to find. The mosaic Damascus blade is highly detailed and shows tremendous control. Shane's Hellfire pattern Damascus combines three distinct carbon steels for a tremendous variation in shading. A differential heat treatment results in a blade that will have exceptional edge holding. The long clip leads into the fileworked spine. The guard has been forged from wrought iron recovered from a mid 1800s wagon wheel. This has been antiqued. The sambar stag crown handle is exceptional -- I have never seen a better piece. Shane has had this crown in his collection for the last ten years and decided that it was the perfect material for this handle. Sambar of any quality is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Sambar of this grade nearly does not exist. Exceptional fit and finish with a great feel in the hand.
