Description: This Bowie was made from four different steels, two bar stock (1080 and 15N20) and two powdered (1084 and 4600e). The guard and pommel are both from made from the same detailed mosaic Damascus as the blade. The moon, stars, and Sun are displayed throughout. This pattern proves to be both fascinating up close and from a distance due to the mixture of complex detail and bold patterns.
The tang is continuous and is drilled and threaded to the mosaic Damascus pommel. The handle is a hand selected piece of ringed gidgee from Australia. This wood is a complex lace of tiny swirling texture with a slight curly chatoyancy.
The sheath is custom fitted to the knife and is highlighted with an alligator inlay.
All work done on the knife, from heat treating and forging of the Damascus, to hand sewing the sheath were performed by Bill. Exceptional work throughout.
