Description: This large folder was created by Ray in 1990. It has been meticulously cared for and is in excellent/mint condition. The long folding blade is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. The spine has been fileworked in a pattern that continues into the stainless backbar. The blade is easily opened using the stainless thumb stud. The knife is identified by Ray's mark (RB) on the left side. It is identified as knife no. 018 on the right side and is dated 1990 on the base of the ricasso. The German silver bolsters are both engraved by Simon Lytton and show off his exceptional work. The engraving is signed on the base of the left bolster. Curly iron maple scales fit perfectly to the bolsters. They are dark in tone and have a dramatic grain pattern. An amazing find from the past that measures up in every way to the best folders of today.
