Description: Roger Bergh has a sense of creativity and design that is rarely found on other makers' work and in Silver Swans, his skill is undeniable. The handle has been sculpted, both for appearance and to create a tremendous fit in the hand. The natural grain of the desert ironwood is particularly choice with dramatic swirls of lighter browns and nearly black. The European walnut front and butt create a slight darker contrast. The butt is finished off in decorative sterling silver, showing off the influence of Swedish Jeweler Sara Mi Liljeholm.
A master at the forge, Roger has created a three bar composite blade with complex Damascus patterns throughout. A flock of silver swans flies through a mosaic sky. The choice of steels assures a long lasting, easy to maintain edge.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
