Description: The sturdy stainless steel blade is fileworked in the vine pattern and has a tapered tang for especially good balance. A cryogenic heat treat makes the blade have a particularly aggressive edge that will hold its sharpness. It was heat treated to Rc 60-61 (very hard), making a knife that will perform amazingly in the field. The kudu horn scales have a great texture in the hand, assuring a secure grip. The buckeye burl spacer is surrounded by brass and red fiber spacers, which allows the knife to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The brass pins have been hammer textured to match the horn. The fit and finish, along with the fileworked spine, make this a knife that will feel at home in a collection.
