Description: Jim's hunting knives are as sturdy as they are elegant. A hunter himself, as well as a backwoodsman, his knives have been heavily tested in the field over the years.
The blade is forged from carbon steels Persian Ribbon pattern that moves across a complex canvas of mosaic designs. Jim called this one "Snow Drift" because as the winter snows were receding last spring, he found this billet of steel in one of the larger drifts. After cleaning it up, it proved to be an extremely captivating pattern. By combining 1084 and L6 carbon steels, Jim assures that this blade will have exceptional edge retention.
The stabilized walnut burl handle has an elegant swirling pattern moving through the dark walnut tones. The handle features an elaborate spacer created from mammoth ivory, nickel, and black fiber. Both the guard and butt cap are forged from Damascus matching the blade. The fit and finish is excellent. The blade has been tapered for a perfect balance in the hand. Numbered C76.
